In nursery and reception we use the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum and track our children from an initial baseline assessment. Ongoing observations inform planning and track children's learning and development. Information about each child is recorded in individual profiles and next steps in learning are clearly identified and shared with parents on a half termly basis.
Regular work scrutiny takes place within teams, as a whole school and also by the senior leadership team. This is to ensure all staff mark and assess work to ensure children know how and what to improve on in order to make the best progress. We also have a clear and concise marking and feedback policy and hold regular pupil progress meetings to identify any children at risk of not meeting progress targets.
